Hey! I’m Marilyn — a mechanical engineer, writer and musician with a habit of chasing ideas wherever they lead — whether that's into space systems, sound design or the structure of a well-written sentence.

Professionally, I’ve worked on everything from drone platforms to consumer electronics to quantum hardware. I care about the technical details, but just as much about how teams work together — how ideas take shape, evolve and become real through collaboration and good processes. I try to build things that are not only functional, but thoughtful.

Outside of engineering, I’ve led a magazine as Editor in Chief, published essays and features and am working on a podcast called I Could Have Lived — an exploration of the paths we take, the ones we don’t and the stories in between. Music is another creative outlet; I write, sing and record when I can.

I’m a fan understanding the cosmos, of stargazing and someone who’s happiest when I’m learning something new or meeting someone new.
